Connect to Calm

How do we co-regulate?

FREE TRAINING event in Busselton, WA, for schools and family/carers.

Do you support a family member, or a person with a disability who can sometimes become agitated, distressed, or who has difficulty managing their regulation? And are you keen to learn more about co-regulation?

What is the ‘co’ in co-regulation and why does it matter?

Microboards Australia and Developmental Disability WA (DDWA) have been working with people with disability and their families for many years in the area of behaviour support. We believe in the person and their support network being the experts in the support needs of their loved one. Supporting people to feel good, feel regulated and feel connected frames our approach and lens. We support people and their support networks to understand their own regulation with a focus on co-regulation through relationships.

Microboards Australia have worked with DDWA’s Side by Side community since its inception in 2012. Side by Side connects families experiencing challenging behaviour with other families through a supported peer group. Peer groups provide a safe place to share experiences, receive support and help each other. We believe that peer support complements any behaviour support intervention.

Please join us for a FREE training session and learn more about co-regulation, behaviour support and how you can be supported through peer support in your local community.
