The Positive Education Session is run by renowned Geelong Grammar’s Institute of Positive Education and hosted by Margaret River Independent School.
Jo Wiese, the Institute’s lead trainer in WA, will focus on personal transformation through teaching practical skills that the science of positive psychology has shown can have a significant and lasting impact on well-being.
During the session, participants will learn practical skills that will help in everyday family life including:
- Promoting resilience
- Increasing awareness of character strengths
- Nurturing and sustaining positive relationships
- Giving effective feedback and supporting individual growth
This event is for anyone with an interest in Positive Education, Positive Psychology and well-being. It is designed for parents, grandparents, people who work with young people, childcare staff, family day care professionals and anyone with an interest in Positive Education.
A light supper will be provided from 5.30pm and drinks can be purchased from the Margaret River Heart’s bar, with the session beginning at 6.00pm in the Studio Theatre.
