Tips for Toileting

Recommended for parents and carers of children with Autism aged 0 to 7 years.

Toileting is a daily living activity that involves several physical, sensory and social aspects that can make it challenging for children with Autism to learn and gain confidence in. Every child develops toileting skills in their own time and way. There isn’t one ‘right’ way or set age to learn how to use the toilet — the approach really depends on each child! For children with Autism, toilet training may require a range of strategies.

In this webinar we will explore:

  • How to prepare
  • Getting started
  • Common challenges (and things to try!)
  • Useful resources
