Do you want to:

  • Understand your child's development?
  • Know where your child is developmentally and where you want your child to be in the future?
  • Get the best out of the planning process and make it work for you?

Developmental Disability WA invites you to the first of a series of work-shops that will provide you with the skills to help you plan and make choices for your child to support them to reach their potential and achieve the best possible outcome.

This workshop is aimed at families of children with disabilities who reside in the Lower South West NDIS My Way trial site (Upper South West families would also benefit).

Following this workshop, you will feel more confident:

  • Prioritising and formulating a vision for your child's future
  • Maximising your child's development
  • Knowing what to look for in a school and how inclusion works
  • Preparing for school and transitions points
  • Positive partnerships with school
  • Organising appropriate support to achieve the vision at school
  • Getting the Individual Education Plan (IEP) to work for you
  • Preparing for meetings and using effective meeting strategies
  • Individual and systemic advocacy

This workshop has been funded by the Disability Services Commission
