Information about Covid-19 Coronavirus

  • Every Australian Counts have developed a webpage with lots of accessible information, including a social story and Easy English information on Coronavirus which you can find here.
  • Down Syndrome Australia have also created Easy English information, which you can find here.
  • NDIS have developed a webpage with information about changes to NDIS processes due to Coronavirus here.  Please note that face to face meetings are currently not available with NDIS, APM Communities or Wanslea ECEI. Phone meetings only.

Changes to SWAN Groups

As a result of the current Coronavirus pandemic, SWAN have decided to cancel all YES and AutStars groups for the rest of the term (and possibly longer).  As per the Department of Health directive, social distancing is believed to be one of the best ways to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.  Due to this directive and the need to protect our most vulnerable customers, SWAN have made the difficult decision to suspend our social groups for the foreseeable future.  SWAN have group members, staff and volunteers with existing health issues that place them at higher risk of complications if the virus is contracted. We are also aware that many have to travel to attend groups and we need to minimise the risk of spreading the virus throughout other areas in the southwest.

In relation to Term 1 invoices for the groups, we are happy to provide the following options for the cancelled sessions:

1. A full refund for cancelled sessions. If you would like to be refunded for the cancelled sessions, please email your name and bank account details to info@swanautism.org.au,
Or

2. Credit for cancelled sessions can be applied to your account, for use when groups recommence.  Please note - this will be our default option unless otherwise advised.

Changes to SWAN Offices

SWAN offices in Busselton and Bunbury will also be closed for the foreseeable future, and we will not be meeting clients face to face. Our staff will still be working from home ensuring that we can provide support and information as needed.  We can be contacted by:
